Welcome!

My name is Jamie Hamrick and I am a professional school counselor at Carlton J. Kell High School in Marietta, GA.  I counsel students with the last names that start with He-Mc.  Please feel free to email me at jamie.hamrick @ cobbk12.org (no spaces).

This is my 6th year as a high school counselor, my 4th at Kell.  I am really enjoying my time at Kell and getting to know students, parents, and colleagues. 

All the counselors in our office are available to work with you if you are struggling with something personal (such as family and/or friend issues), have academic questions (what you still need to graduate, for example), and are exploring post-high school plans (where to look for college and/or career information, etc.).  You can either make an appointment or check to see if we are available right then.  Please note that if you have an emergency please let Mrs. Drago, our guidance registrar, know and she will make sure that either I, or one of the other counselors, sees you immediately.

My goal is to get to know all of my students, however, it can be a daunting process since there are about 400+ of you!  Please feel free to stop by sometime and introduce yourself.  I look forward to meeting you!
